About the Esperanto Alphabet (Esperanta Alfabeto)

The special characters include five consonants with circumflex: Ĉ/ĉ (pronounced like "ch"), Ĝ/ĝ (like "j" in "judge"), Ĥ/ĥ (like Scottish "ch"), Ĵ/ĵ (like "zh" in "pleasure"), Ŝ/ŝ (like "sh"), and one vowel with breve: Ŭ/ŭ (like "w" in diphthongs).

About Esperanto Language
Esperanto is the most widely spoken constructed international auxiliary language. Created by L. L. Zamenhof in 1887, it was designed to be easy to learn and to foster international understanding and communication.
Today, Esperanto is spoken by an estimated 2 million people worldwide, with native speakers, extensive literature, music, and online communities. The language has a regular grammar with no exceptions, making it much easier to learn than most natural languages.
The Esperanto alphabet is phonetic—each letter represents exactly one sound, and each sound is represented by exactly one letter. This makes reading and writing in Esperanto very straightforward once you learn the alphabet and the pronunciation rules.
Why Use the X-System?
The X-system (supersigno sistemo) is the most common way to type Esperanto on standard keyboards because the letter "x" is not part of the Esperanto alphabet. This makes it available as a modifier key.
Alternative systems exist (like the H-system using ch, gh, etc.), but the X-system is the most widely recognized and used in digital communication, email addresses, and online forums. This keyboard automatically converts X-system input into proper Esperanto characters for you.
