Japanese alphabet: Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji

Japanese uses three writing systems: Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. This keyboard focuses on fast Romaji-to-kana typing (Hiragana/Katakana) and includes a clickable kana chart.

How to type Japanese online (Romaji → Kana)

Type romaji like konnichiha to get こんにちは. Double consonants create a small っ (e.g., gakkou がっこう). You can also click kana from the chart.
